Headshots Are Your Friend

Despite me not enjoying taking my own photograph, I do thoroughly enjoy taking other peoples (which works out haha). But headshots are kind of a big deal for businesses, no matter what your role is within  company, prospective clients like to put a face with a company. It's good for them and it's good for you - makes the company more 'real' to be able to put a face behind it all.

Having an annual headshot appointment is akin to having your annual doctors appointment checkup. It's good to revamp and refresh at least once a year. Ever been to a companies website, looked at who is who then visited that business and no one looks like they do on the website? Don't be that company. Keep things fresh, keep your communication up (this includes visual).

 Your Headshot Session

If you are still shopping around and happened to see (and read) this blog, then here's what you can expect from a Spliced Frame Production headshot session. I am kind of a talker so I may start chit-chatting during your session but that's only because I'm a people person and I like to know about people. I promise I won't get too personal, I just really like getting to know people and to know their stories. Biographies are my favorite books. I will bring a studio with me. ...nothing too crazy, it's mobile. But I'm talking a lighting kit, some backdrops and a few cameras/lenses. I do this because I want you to have options. Nothing is ever cookie-cutter, just like there's no such thing as cookie-cutter people...you will not get a cookie cutter session. If you have several outfits or 'looks' you want to convey-bring them on in. Sessions usually run about 30 min, but the session I had yesterday ran about 3 hours (but that's because I'm a talker and I know the lady who I was photographing so we kind of got in the weeds a little bit). If you're not a talker, that's cool, too. I can get out of your hair as soon as you need me out of there. I know you have a company to run and I definitely don't want to get in the way of daily operations.

Once I get back to the studio, I start in on your session edits. The number of images I throw out there for advertising is 5 but the actual number you'll receive is sometimes double, even triple that (again, options are good. I like options myself so I figure other people do, too). I'll have your e-gallery to you within 2 days of your session (again, just like daily operations, I don't want to be the reason your marketing is getting held up).

Since we're on the subject of headshots, this is also a good time if you're considering a 'welcome to my business' video. These are great for home pages and social media marketing to put an even bigger imprint on your branding and give your customers an even broader 'look' into what you're all about.

If your'e interesting in booking a session, please contact me and we'll get the ball rolling. See you soon!
